EVESHAM'S Concorde League campaign started with men's and ladies matches against old rivals Pershore.
The women secured victory by nine shots on their home green thanks to wins on three of the four rinks and a 12-shot triumph from Jean Hemms' rink.
The men, meanwhile, lost out by a single chalk on their travels despite winning on three of the five rinks.
There then followed a second reverse when they played host to Bredon last Sunday with the visitors winning by six shots after success on three rinks.
The best match involved Colin Grinnell and Pat White with the latter trailing by eight shots after eight ends.
Six ends later, Grinnell trailed by two and the contest was all-square at 19 ends. However, the Evesham rink picked up five shots on the last two ends to earn a 23-18 success.
