Cigarette forcibly removed from woman's hand

A WOMAN smoker has been left shaken after a man forcibly removed a cigarette from her hand.

The 61-year-old was smoking a cigarette next to the bus stop on Clarence Street, Cheltenham, on Saturday, August 30 when the incident occurred between 12.15pm and 12.45pm An unknown man complained to her that smoke was going in his face and the woman stepped away but he stated again that smoke was still going in his face. He then approached her and grabbed the cigarette from her hand before throwing it to the floor.

Shortly after the incident both the man and the woman boarded the number 41 bus.

The man is described as black, in his 50’s and tall, with short grey curly hair and a short beard. He was wearing a green sweater with a zip and green khaki camouflage trousers and beige trainers.
