TEWKESBURY Town Mayor Barbara Cromwell was delighted to see an old Mop Fair favourite at the Fair Society’s model show last week.
She admired Brewer’s Little Horses, a hand- cranked roundabout, made by Walkers of Tewkesbury about 100 years ago.
The ride now belongs to Worcester businessman Lawrence Harper, who ran it to raise funds for the hospital league of friends.
The ride last appeared as part of the annual Mop Fair in 1986 and has visited the model show for the past three years.
Fair Society spokesman Steve Perry said, “Generations of children must have ridden on them.”
He added that the model show was very successful and attracted a lot of visitors.
