PASSENGERS could find waiting for a bus in Northway Lane more comfortable, thanks to a planned new development.
Chase-Horton (Tewkesbury) Ltd has been given conditional permission to build an industrial/warehousing unit on part of the former Dowty Sports Field, next to the access road to Ashchurch Station.
The company will provide a cycle and footpath alongside the development linking it to Northway Lane.
They will also fund two bus shelters. As a recent change in bus schedules means they no longer all call at the railway station, councillors have asked that the shelters are sited on Northway Lane, where travellers now have to wait for buses.
